Maintaining Occupant Warning Systems in Greater Sydney
About OWS Systems
Building occupant warning systems, or simply Occupant Warning Systems (OWS), are systems that are designed to warn the people in your building of any type of emergency. They often are used for fires but also work for smoke and other hazards. Ask Eagle Fire Protection more about them.
In Accordance with Australian Standards
These systems must be installed and designed in accordance with Australian Standards AS1670.1. The specific clause is 3.22. They also need to be in accordance with Clause 6 of Specification E2.2a of the BCA. Eagle Fire Protection installs all of our OWS options in accordance with these standards.
Testing OWS Systems
You’ll also want to ensure that your OWS still meets the specifications listed above. At Eagle Fire Protection, our team can inspect and test your system to make sure that it will properly signal that the people in your building should evacuate when the fire alarm goes off. Schedule a test with our team.
